ADEKA’s high-performance lubricant additives can improve the energy efficiency, reduce the downtimes and extend the lifetime of a wide range of machines, such as cars & trucks and many kinds of industrial machinery. Thereby they can help conserving resources, reducing waste and fighting climate change on planet earth.
In Europe ADEKA concentrates its portfolio of lubricant additives on selected EU REACH compliant products.
At the core of this portfolio is a range of different organo-molybdenum chemicals with friction reducing, wear preventing and anti-oxidative performances (ADEKA SAKURA-LUBE series). It also includes zinc, phosphorus, or non-metal chemicals working as anti-wear, extreme-pressure resisting, anti-oxidative and friction reducing agents (ADEKA KIKU-LUBE Z-112 and FM-210 and ADEKA ECOROYAL AWP-3000 and LFP-3200). These products are used across a variety of industries, lubricants and hardware applications, particularly in automotive engine and drivetrain oils and greases, where they play a vital role in reducing the fuel consumption and CO2 emissions of road vehicles.
ADEKA SAKURA-LUBE friction modifiers are surface active agents which can reduce the coefficient of friction in the friction contact between moving metal surfaces dramatically. When used in automotive engine oils, this can reduce the mechanical energy losses and thus the fuel consumption and CO2 emissions from road vehicles powered by internal combustion engines significantly. ADEKA SAKURA-LUBE friction modifiers can improve fuel consumption in passenger cars by up to 1.7%. When applied on a large scale, this can have a substantial benefit for the environment. For example, if this additive is used in 1 million cars with an average petrol fuel consumption rate of 10L/100km and an average annual distance driven of 10,000 km, it can reduce their combined fuel consumption by 17,000 kL of petrol per year, equivalent to >40,000 tons of CO2 emissions saved annually.
Our products also offer excellent anti-oxidation, anti-wear and extreme-pressure resisting performances delivering optimal performance even under harsh conditions and extending the lifespan of both lubricants and machinery. They are suitable for a wide range of automotive and industrial lubricants, metalworking fluids, and greases.
Most ADEKA lubricant additives are developed and produced in Japan at our cutting-edge R&D facilities in Tokyo and Kuki and at our state-of-the-art production plants in Soma, Kashima, Mie, and Chiba.
All ADEKA production facilities have implemented quality, environmental and health & safety management systems certified according ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 / OHSAS 18001. In addition, ADEKA’s main production plant for lubricant additives in Soma, ADEKA Logistics Corporation and the relevant departments of ADEKA Corp. head office have implemented a business continuity management system acc. to ISO 22301.
Thanks to our relentless pursuit of innovation and quality, ADEKA has become a trusted supplier of high-performance additives for automotive lubricants, with many new cars produced and sold in Japan, Korea, China, North America and Europe using engine oils, EV-Fluids and greases formulated with our products.
We take great pride in our contributions to both the industry and the environment, as our lubricant additives not only enhance vehicle performance but also support global efforts to reduce energy consumption and carbon emissions.
